RedFox Master is one of the most comprehensive online dictionaries worldwide. The dictionary includes altogether 41 languages, more than 24.1 million search entries, and 23 million helpful example sentences. Beside the dictionaries, RedFox Master also provides a high-quality text translation tool, a reliable proof reading tool, extended possibilities to study certain languages, and - last but not least - clearly arranged grammar rules.

DICTIONARY

Basic Dictionary

The Basic Dictionary includes 41 languages and more than 14.2 million search entries altogether.

Following languages are supported: Afrikaans, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Min Nan, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu.

Comprehensive Dictionary

The Comprehensive Dictionary and Specialized Dictionary includes - compared to the Basic Dictionary - 9.9 million additional search entries for 41 languages. This means that RedFox Master Dictionary includes 24.1 million search entries altogether.

Dictionary look-ups can be done between all languages. Searching within the dictionary is simple: type or paste a word, select the language pair, and then click ‘Search‘ or press ‘Enter‘. Search results containing translation equivalents, usage examples, and synonyms. Results marked in red colour can be clicked for further searches. Additionally, the Comprehensive Dictionary for English language can be used as monolingual dictionary, providing further information for the looked-up term.

The Comprehensive Dictionary is constantly updated. Updates will be done once per week. Every update contains about 200 new words. The goal is that RedFox Dictionary gives always a result for all searched terms.

Specialized Dictionary

RedFox Master includes specialized dictionaries from different fields of knowledge: technology, commerce, law, medicine, banking, finance, ICT, chemistry, forest industry, construction, metal, and international trade. We will add specialized dictionaries to our service when a need by a customer is given.

The Monolingual Dictionary is displayed when as a language pair the same language is chosen, e.g. English - English. Searching within the dictionary is simple: type or paste a word, select the language pair, and then click ‘Search‘ or press ‘Enter‘. Search results containing explanations, usage examples, and synonyms. Results marked in red colour can be clicked for further searches. Additionally, the Monolingual Dictionary provides extended information for the searched term, e.g. example sentences.

The Monolingual Dictionary is constantly updated.

Extended Dictionary Content

RedFox Master also contains extended example sentences for certain source and target languages. The service provides 23 million examples, currently for following language pairs:

The service provides grammar rules, usage, and examples for 8 languages: English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

The service is easy to use by choosing the language and searching information, e.g. verb, sentence structure. The grammar service can be also browsed by the table of contents.

LEARNING

Video Lessons

The language learning service includes video lessons for 8 languages: English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

The lessons are separated in certain levels, such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Every level itself is often divided in sub-sections, e.g. vocabulary, grammar, and expressions. The lessons are given by native speakers, which enhance the user's language skills additionally.

New videos will be constantly published, so that users are able to learn certain topics every day by watching 2 to 5 minutes lessons.

The video lessons are easy to use by just choosing the language to be studied, user's level of language skills, and the topic to be studied. By clicking on the video, the lesson will start immediately. The video can be stopped at any time by clicking beside the video frame.

Video Lessons for Corporations

The service provides video lessons specially made for the needs of corporations in international business life.

At the moment, only lessons for Business English are available, but later other languages such as Spanish, German, or Russian will be added. New videos will be constantly published, so that users are able to learn certain topics every day by watching 2 to 5 minutes lessons.

Travel Dictionary and Phrases

The service provides a Travel Dictionary and Phrases for 8 languages: English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.

The dictionary is easy to use by choosing the language of the country to be travelled and searching a general term to be needed, e.g. hotel, money. The dictionary can be also browsed by the table of contents.

FINNISH

Finnish Language Dictionary

The Finnish Language Dictionary is a basic Finnish language dictionary. The Dictionary contains more than 257,000 search entries.

Look-ups can be done in Finnish only. Searching within the dictionary is simple: type or paste a word, select the language pair, and then click ‘Search‘ or press ‘Enter‘. Search results containing explanations, usage examples, and synonyms. Results marked in red colour can be clicked for further searches.

TRANSLATION

Text Translation Tool

Following languages are supported: Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (China), Chinese (Taiwan), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong Daw, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovanian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.

Translation can be done between all above mentioned languages.

The service is very easy to use, first choose source language and target language, write or copy the text to be translated in the left text box provided and click 'Translate'. The translation will be shown immediately in the right text box.

Proof Reading Tool

Following languages are supported: Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian.

The proof reading tool is a service for spell-checking, grammar-checking, and hyphenation.

The spell-checker examines every individual word separately for the language selected, whether it is spelled correctly or not. It does not recognise wrong choices of words, or typing errors when words become a new meaning. The grammar-checker examines the whole text at once. Relationships between words will be taken into account. Hyphenation means how words will be split when written in two text lines by using a hyphen. The service will check whether the word is split correctly or not.

The Proof Reading Tool is easy to use, first choose the language, write or copy the text to be checked in the left text box, and click 'Check'. The result will be displayed in the right text box.
